Contact Research Programs

Before sending your application you are strongly advised to get in touch with the relevant program representative to find out about mutual interest in your intended research.

The following IIASA research groups are accepting applications for the YSSP. Ideally, candidates should have looked at the application form (pdf version) in order to have a rough working plan in place prior to contacting the programs with their specific research related questions. Only then programs can properly judge whether the research proposal fits their expertise and comment on the formulated question/problem.

Note: In line with our strategic reorganization, our IIASA programs will have new program names as per January 2021. However, this will not have an effect on current research proposals and applications (it only means that successful candidates may end up in a new program albeit with the same research focus and supervising staff).
