Wolfgang Lutz elected to Austrian Academy of Sciences
Leader of IIASA’s World Population Program Wolfgang Lutz has been elected as a full member to the Austrian Academy of Sciences (Humanities) in recognition of his pioneering research in demography. In particular, the election honors Prof. Lutz’s leadership in the development of probabilistic population forecasts and methodologies to analyze the relationship between human population and the environment and between education and human health.
