The YSSP 2015 will host 52 elite young scientists from around the world, who are currently working on or have recently completed their PhD. During the program, participants work on independent research projects in collaboration with IIASA scientists. This year’s participants hail from 28 countries, and will work on projects within each of IIASA’s nine research programs.

The YSSP is one of IIASA’s most successful programs. Many alumni of the program have gone on to highly successful careers in academia, policy, and government. This year again saw a record number of applications, with 337 from over 60 countries.
