WISC Mentoring Program

IIASA's Women in Science Club (WISC) launched a pilot mentoring program in July 2018 to help foster mentoring relationships for its members.

Mentoring can have a significant impact on someone's career, and such programs are currently being offered by many organizations and associations. We particularly liked this Nature article that shared scientists' experiences with their mentors.

WISC launched a pilot program at IIASA to provide a platform for people connected to science at IIASA to share their knowledge and experience with early career professionals through formal mentoring relationships.

WISC members, IIASA staff, and IIASA alumni are invited to participate in the program as a mentor. Mentees for the program are limited to WISC members. If you are interested in participating in the program and making an impact on women in science, please complete this short mentor's questionnaire and take a look at the mentor guidelines.

Please feel free to in touch with us via if you have any questions and/or suggestions concerning the mentoring program. If you would like to suggest someone to be a mentor, we will get in touch with her/him to see if they are interested in the program.
