Karina Reiter joined the Risk and Resilience (RISK) program at IIASA as a Research Assistant in January 2020. She is contributing to the MacroMode project, aiming at developing policy-relevant risk management options to decrease indirect risks from extreme flood events. She is mainly involved in the stakeholder process within the project.
Ms. Reiter holds an MSc in conservation biology and biodiversity management and an MA in Anglophone literature and cultures from the University of Vienna. She also studied transcultural communication. Her research interests are manifold but currently geared at the social effects of natural disasters.
