Marzena Anna Adamczuk is a linguist by training (Master's in English Philology 2001, Ph.D. in Translation and Interpreting Theory, University of Vienna 2005). She studied in Poland (University of Silesia), Portugal (Universidade de Aveiro), Great Britain (University of Northampton), and Austria (University of Vienna). She is a certified teacher of English as a foreign language (CELTA).
Marzena gathered her early working experience at the Polish Embassy in Vienna (2002), the United Nations Office at Vienna (2004), the European Central Bank in Frankfurt am Main (2006), and at the College of Europe in Warsaw (2007).
Between 2008 and 2014, Marzena worked at the American International School in Vienna, first at the Office of External Affairs, and later in Communications and Development.
Marzena joined IIASA in 2014 as Development Officer in the Office of Sponsored Research (currently Grant Management). In April 2019, she was appointed as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Operations Officer in the IIASA Directorate.
