BiographyOlena Tarasiuk is a research scholar in the Social Cohesion, Health, and Wellbeing Research Group of the IIASA Population and Just Societies Program. She works in close collaboration with the Vienna Institute of Demography on the project on Ukrainian refugees in Austria.
She previously worked in Ukrainian public administration and research institutions including the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the Research Institute on Social Policy, the Center of Prospective Social Research, and the Institute for Demography and Social Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, focusing on social policy, in particular human rights, social protection and social security issues, as well as the implementation of international and European social standards.
Tarasiuk has two master's degrees (public administration and finance) and a specialist degree (master's degree equivalent) in economics.
