It is our pleasure to announce that IIASA Distinguished Visiting Fellow and longtime collaborator, Simon Levin, was one of the three recipients of the 14th BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in Ecology and Conservation Biology.

Anne Goujon, an expert in demography and education, has been appointed to lead the IIASA Population and Just Societies (POPJUS) Program.  

Four exceptional young scientists from the 2021 Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP) have been recognized as YSSP award finalists. Two will receive funding to continue their research projects at IIASA and two candidates have been given Honorable Mentions for outstanding effort.
