Migration is a highly complex social phenomenon and migration decisions depend on a variety of social, political and economic factors. Researchers from IIASA and Wittgenstein Centre published the Fact Sheet Migration, providing information about the challenges, that might be confronted for a successful adaptation.

It is our pleasure to announce that Senior Population and Just Societies Program Advisor, Wolfgang Lutz, will take up the reins as interim IIASA Deputy Director for Science from 1 August 2022.

The Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital (IIASA, OeAW, University of Vienna) will start Master's Programme "Global Demography" at the University of Vienna with its second cohort of students in October 2022.
