The General Assembly (GA) meetings provide a forum for conducting ISC business and allow leading scientists to identify and discuss the world’s most pressing scientific issues. During the 2nd ISC General Assembly, all ISC Members get together to chart the strategic direction of the Council for the next triennium, and to engage in important decision-making processes.

The three-year term of the current ISC Governing Board concludes at the upcoming 2nd ISC General Assembly in October 2021, and ISC Members will elect a new Governing Board at this Assembly.

All representatives, office bearers and staff members of organizations that are Members of the ISC, as well as ISC affiliated bodies are cordially invited to attend the meeting, and there is no limit in regards to the number of delegates per organization. IIASA has been a member since 1987.
