On 22 October 2020, IIASA researchers from the Water program, including acting Program Director Yoshihide WadaTaher Kahil and Mikhail Smilovic, will exchange experiences and expertise on their water research, modeling activities and forward looking research interests with a group of their peers from the the Royal Scientific Society (RRS) of Jordan.

IIASA Director General Albert van Jaarsveld, RSS Jordan Vice President for Technology Nabeel Al-Fayoumi and researchers from both organizations will come together with aim of sparking ideas to strengthen the links between the two research communities and identify opportunities for synergistic collaborations.

Discussions, moderated by Iain Stewart , will be focused on finding common ground for energy and climate modeling research with the intention that future collaborative work between IIASA and the RSS Jordan will be of benefit nationally, regionally, and globally.

This event will be followed by a second webinar featuring research leaders from both the IIASA Energy program and RSS Jordan to discuss potential research collaborations in the Energy and Climate Modeling.
