IIASA demographer Wolfgang Lutz is invited to speak at the Berlin Demography Days on the topic of human capital and how it relates to the challenges faced by the Global South.

Wolfgang Lutz will speak about education and sustainable development during Berlin Demography Days which will take place online from 22-24 March, 2021.  

A three-day annual event organized by Population Europe, the network of the leading European demographic research centers, offers a platform for intense dialogue among scientific experts, policy makers, business leaders and representatives of international organizations and civil society. 

Its goal is to enable participants to discuss potential solutions of future challenges driven by population change and based on scientific evidence, the expertise of decision-makers, and practitioner experience.

As one of the world's leading population experts Lutz is invited to share his views at the Global Demography Forum, a platform where leading researchers from Asia, Africa, Europe and the USA will discuss how data can be used to solve the current problems of the Global South. Professor Lutz will speak about the power of multi-dimensional demography and the role of changing education distributions in sustainable development.
